Karen Caprino is a role model for entrepreneurs in any stage of their journey to success. Her story shows that determination, continued action, and passion are key ingredients to long-term, sustainable success. Karen’s early corporate career was challenging as she juggled being a single mother but successful as she oversaw the design development and facilities management departments in her corporate environment. Her mother’s sudden, unexpected breast cancer diagnosis caused Karen to shift her focus back to undergraduate school and then to medical school where she met her ex-husband, Mark. When Karen and Mark married, Karen immediately shifted from single mother to happily married in a blended family with five children.
Mark and Karen opened three franchise restaurants in hopes of creating time and financial freedom but soon found themselves in great debt and with no time. Mark was unable to leave his increasingly unstable career in medical sales and Karen was stuck running the daily restaurant operations.
Finally, in 1999, Karen was introduced to a manufacturing company that offered a marketing business model that had the right environment for them to create the financial and time freedom they initially hoped for with the restaurants. While growing her business, Karen re-discovered her passion for helping people be proactive in addressing all areas of wellness – physical, financial, environmental, personal and spiritual to live a total wellness lifestyle so she created We Are Changing Lives. We Are Changing Lives is a community of highly successful men and women who are helping others change their lives by creating a life of freedom, flexibility, and wellness.
Karen now has a life free from the debts of the restaurants and school and is creating a secure retirement allowing her to live the life she dreamed of. Karen enjoys spending time on personal development, traveling, on the boat, with friends and most of all with her children and grandchildren.
